Places to Grow Food Blueprint

Wise land use decisions depend on having a clearer picture of southern Ontario's remaining agricultural lands: how much land is left for agriculture, and how much land will Southern Ontario's growing population need?

By designing a Blueprint of high priority places to grow food in Ontario, the Ontario Farmland Trust is helping land use planners make the best choices when it comes to protecting foodland. Over the next year, the OFT is hosting a series of meetings across southern Ontario involving key stakeholders from OMAFRA, planning bodies and civil society.
